MILAN FASHION WEEK, D&G: A GARDENING PARTY

Picture-perfect flowerbeds on both sides of the catwalk. The wooden floor that doubles as decking is none the less perfect. At the end, models emerge from a magical, overgrown secret garden in full bloom.

And that's no coincidence. This spring summer collection of Dolce and Gabbana's diffusion line bursts with floral prints and colours. At a first glance, the shapes are a mishmash of delicacies born between the 1950s and the 1980s, glued together by wild florals, gingham checks, clashing prints, headscarves, canvas bags, a touch of utility wear, shorts, playsuits and sundresses, wedge sandals and wellie-like booties. Looks like all is set for the best gardening party ever. RSVP by telegraph.
