THE HIGH SUMMER DIARIES: ALFRESCO DINNERS, DRINKS & SKYGAZING

And a seasonal twist to blogging approach, I might add. And the result? Summer flavours and deliciously relaxed outfit inspiration, I hope. Click through and let me know what you think.

When you're a blogger (or sort of), balancing a day job with your passion is a tough cookie. But my most recent epiphany is, it tends to get worse in the summer. Before going on holiday, preparing your team for your absence makes work more demanding than ever. There are travel arrangements and an endless last-minute to-do list to cover. Next, it's the actual leave. Whether your holidays are for you to get a life or take a break from it, you cannot afford your 'second job' to take first priority. Which leaves you with two options: extended radio silence or a different approach.

For the past quite a few weeks, I've been shifting my focus to Instagram, sharing my live posts on Tumblr and Twitter too along the way. But abandoning the blog for feels criminal, so I thought a no-frills image diary can help make sure that the spirit of summer is captured here, on the pages of my book.
