I've been finding myself wanting to inject more colour into my outfits, how about you? One of the main reasons for that must be, well, it's well and truly autumn out there on the Northern Hemisphere. As leaves turn all sorts of jewel colours and the sun hides, we want to go with the flow and compensate for the loss of summer at the same time. The other reason is The Trend, Seventies. A few years ago we saw the comeback of Sixties cuts in somewhat muted but still rich colours - a pared-down version of the Sixties-Seventies mix, basically - but now, Seventies style is back with full throttle, in all its bold-and-pretty-daywear-versus-predatory-glam-partywear glory.
This month, you may have seen me digging a vintage suede dress out of the wardrobe (check the look here) and was the first winner of New Look's #NewLookStyle weekly streetstyle contest styling the khaki soft trench. The result is a new £200-worth haul that eases the constant shopping cravings for a little while.
These days I'm not big on going out or on spending to my little heart's content but as usual I've been having more than a little fun with smart and off-duty looks to suit my autumn mood. Flick through for a dash of transitional inspiration. Find my live feeds on Instagram, Tumblr, Twitter, and selected looks on Lookbook.
