FLASHES OF NEW YORK: DAY THREE, PART TWO

Let's continue our flip-through of the autumn/winter 2013 shows of New York Fashion Week!

NAUGHTY NUN'S NIGHT OUT: CONFESSIONS ON A DANCE FLOOR

Apparently, church-inspired looks are going to be quite a biggie for next autumn/winter - which is not why I'm wearing this naughty nun's dress now, but still. A subtly opulent, yet very simple gothic look is one of the best ways to make use of a couple of rare and beautiful items in our wardrobes, as well as an excuse to take the current favourite Docs for a ride. I did just that this weekend, for a head-banging jump-around retro birthday party. And thus we arrive at today's burning questions and confessions. Where do you stand with trans-gender style twists? What would you be, and what would you wear at a Vicars & Tarts do?

FLASHES OF NEW YORK: DAY THREE, PART ONE

Autumn/winter 2013 has amazingly cool things in store for us, as the third day of New York fashion week also shows - here's part one, any favourites for you?

WARMTH FOR TWO BY WELLENSTEYN

As I said, after all those years of teeth chattering, I went on a mission to find portable warmth in cool coats, and found something I did not expect. Co-modelling some serious Wellensteyn is Sir Shebi, number one rock star, treasurer, high priest and chief executioner among other things, of his lot (let's leave it at that), with his own pricey little branded coat. He said to tell you it's not a bottle warmer he's wearing.

PADDED COATS: A WINTER OBSESSION & A QUEST FOR THE BEST

I don't remember ever owning a padded coat. And why should I? Until this very winter season, they have been the equivalent of fashion crime. It took two things to convince me otherwise.

And so we continue with our quick looks of New York Fashion Week for autumn/winter 2013 - quite a few to watch too!
