SUNDAY, GRUNGY SUNDAY

Sundays often start like that. A long, long lie-in after a longish night with guests, then a hearty breakfast, a bit of housework such as hanging the washing to dry, making lunch, and lying back on the couch reading ELLE.

AND ACCESSORISE WITH A PIG

No matter where I have worked so far, explicitly declared dress-down Fridays have always eluded me. Still, I can't help noticing how everyone breaks out the jeans to mark the beginning of the week-end, permitted or not by the dress code.

JULIEN MACDONALD: THE YACHT, THE VASE AND THE DRAGON TATTOO

Word is, Julien is taking his spring/summer collection into the heart of Asia aboard a superyacht.

SASS & BIDE: CRAYON FANTASY

It must be great to have clashes and contradictions for signature style. Aussie designers Heidi Middleton and Sarah Jane Clarke are totally devoid of self-imposed restrictions, as is worthy of the free spirit and confidence of the strong, the obscure and the beautiful. To me, crayon-coloured Seekerstate is their best collection to date – and the strongest vitamin shot I’ve had in a while.

FELDER FELDER: VERTIGO RUSH

Must say upfront: I’ve never been a Felder Felder fan. That’s probably due to more than my taste. After all, what’s not to like about the uber-coolness of the continental-bred, London-based cool-girl twins with great PR and a great personal style? Wild and wearable, full of rock & roll, I sort of always expected their collections to call out to me, and it just wouldn’t happen. Until now.
